Design ideas for ceilings

Pyramidal Open Cell Ceiling and Non-Standard Décor with Cube-Shaped Rails in an Office

Our designers continue to impress with creative solutions, showcasing new ways to use KRAFT products. This time, they successfully experimented with pyramidal open cell ceilings and cube-shaped rails on the walls. Let's take a closer look at the techniques used.

First of all, it's worth noting that all KRAFT products in this room are made of metal with a wood-like texture. This texture is similar to the popular “Hickory” shade but is not part of the standard KRAFT ceiling palette. However, we can produce products in any available textures.

Suspended Ceiling: Pyramidal Open Cell “Blinds” with Hidden Benefits

As you can see, the ceilings in this room are low, so the decision was made to install pyramidal open cell ceiling to hide the utilities. Thanks to this design, with the same cell sizes, the pyramidal open cell ceiling covers a larger area than the classic version.

To balance hiding utilities while meeting transparency standards, we chose the open cell “blinds” with cells measuring 200x100 mm. As shown in the photos, this solution perfectly achieves the goal of concealing the space above the ceiling
.

Additionally, along the aisles, we used open cell ceilings with 200x200 mm cells, one cassette wide. This solution not only adds decorative appeal but also provides practical advantages. First, it visually breaks up the ceiling mass, making the interior feel lighter and more airy. Secondly, the larger cells contribute to the more efficient functioning of the air conditioning and ventilation systems in these areas.

As you can see, even a simple element like a suspended ceiling can offer many interesting and functional ideas

Wall Décor: Three-Dimensional Cube-Shaped Rail Construction

The cube-shaped rail on the wall is already a familiar decorative element, but it can be made even more expressive by adding depth. One way to do this is by creating a “wave” effect, where rails of varying heights (ranging from 35 mm to 105 mm in 10 mm increments) are installed in succession. However, in this project, a different approach was used: rails of different sizes were installed at angles to the wall, both at the top and the bottom. This unique arrangement, combined with the play of light on the surfaces, creates a futuristic interior effect.

Of course, such a design demands careful attention to detail. Installing it requires precision with individual fasteners for each rail, making the process more complex. However, the result is impressive: the interior becomes truly unique and exceptional!
