Design ideas for ceilings

Conceptual houses with a facade made of a cube-shaped rail KRAFT (+7 photos)

As they say, not only ceilings ... Introducing a cubic lath on the facades of buildings at an angle of 45 degrees!

New Year is coming. Outside the window is a gray and rainy December day. Therefore, we decided to cheer you up with dreams of rest, and at the same time once again show options for the non-standard use of a cube-shaped rail. This time, not just outdoors, but directly on the decorative facades of buildings.

What kind of place is it? Surely this is not a holiday village or a cottage town (although this option should not be ruled out). Most likely, these bungalows belong either to a hotel or to a recreation center. This conclusion can be made based on the typical design of the houses and the common space that unites them. The cottages themselves have an unusual design. The cabins are reminiscent of 40-foot containers that are stuck in the ground at a 45-degree angle and then set up to live in.

For the cladding of the facades of the houses and auxiliary premises, a KRAFT cube-shaped rail imitating the texture of wood was chosen. In order to refine the facade and stay within the chosen style, an alternation of 35 and 88 mm wide slats was used. And to emphasize the unusual choice of the shape of the house, the rail was placed on the facades at an angle of 45 degrees. Thanks to this technique and the use of KRAFT slats with a wood texture, the structure of the facade resembles wicker furniture located on the territory of the recreation center. This combination of natural surroundings and territory with a predominance of light and beige natural tones looks very organic.

As we have already written many times, the KRAFT cube-shaped rail can be safely used not only in suspended ceilings, but also for decorating building facades. A metal rail is in no way inferior to a wooden one, and in some components it is even significantly superior!

One of the most important requirements for outdoor use of the cube lath is corrosion resistance and secure fastening. The cube rail is made of galvanized steel with polymer paint. The KRAFT company, as a manufacturer, gives a 3-year guarantee for perforating corrosion. In fact, in the absence of damage to the protective layer, the rail will last 3-4 times longer. As for the reliability of the rail fastening, if there is no strong wind load on the facade, then the KRAFT rail can be mounted on a standard traverse. For facades of buildings with a strong wind load (for example, on the seashore), you can use a cube-shaped strip 35-45 mm high with additional fasteners.

As you can see, the KRAFT cube-shaped rail has a number of indisputable advantages - simple assembly and disassembly, excellent performance and serious potential for the implementation of design solutions not only in suspended ceilings.

Inspiration to you!
